Camp Texas is an organization that helps basketball officials improve their skills. Tuesday night, officials from all across the Houston area met at Baily Middle School to officiate a few summer league games.

Season veterans to first-time referees were present to evaluate and be evaluated. This training is necessary for referees to carry out official’s duties on the high school level.

According to Camp Texas director Roger Glossen, some of the officials may be asked to move on to the collegiate level (NAIA-Division II).
