The adidas Cy Fair Classic AAU tournament finished up all day Sunday as qualified teams wrapped up their bracket play. At the Cy Fair High School location, championship games took place on two courts.

DFW Elite vs. Houston Cobras
On court No. 1, the Division III Gold Championship featured DFW Elite  against the Houston Cobras. In the end, the girls from Dallas left the court with a 66-43 victory.

DFW jumped out early and never looked back. The Elite, led by point guards Destiny Hughes and Odyssey Sims, held a double-digit for nearly the entire game.

After halftime, the Cobras had a spark from Nicoya Jackson who scored several points along the stretch. The Houston girls closed the Dallas lead down to seven at one point. But later in the quarter, the game started to become a hoop fest (trading baskets on each side) and DFW kept the upper hand.

Leading the way for the Dallas squad was Brook Pope with 22 points. Jackson was the high scorer for the Cobras with 15 points.

Texas All-Stars vs. Lady Lubbock Hawks
The Texas All Stars took third place in their division with 63-51 victory over the Hawks. High scorers for the game were All Star Tiffany Mills (17 points) and Hawks player Katie Meador (15 points).

TG White vs. North Texas Shockers
TG dominated this game from start to finish with a 76-45 victory. TG’s Gabby McGivern was the game’s leading scorer with 22 points. The Shockers’ Hallie Sample was No. 2 with 14.
