The seventh annual Cinco Ranch Golf Tournament was held Monday at Falcon Point Country Club. The tournament brought together 28 teams consisting of 125 golfers to raise money for the Cinco Ranch Booster Club.
The tournament had 13 corporate sponsors who donated $500 and seven corporate sponsors who donated $600 to make for a very profitable turnout.
“We were very happy with the turnout,” said tournament chairman James Peirce. “With the auction and all we look to profit close to $12,000.”
The shotgun start at 1:30 allowed ample time (at least for most teams) to finish up in time for dinner provided by the Cinco Ranch Booster Club.
Following dinner there was a live auction to raise even more money for the booster club as well as awards for the tournament winners. A silent auction was also held throughout the entire day on items donated by the Cinco Ranch community.
“It’s good to get out here and raise money for our athletic department,” explained coach Don Clayton. “And besides raising money, it’s also fun.”
The money will benefit all athletic programs at Cinco Ranch High School.
