First Colony Swim Team hosted the 2007 Gulf Swimming Long Course Summer Championships at Don Cook Natatorium. There were over 30 teams and 570 athletes competing to qualify for the Texas Age Group Swimming (TAGS) Long Course Championships in Austin, Texas on July 18-22.
 
Prelims and Finals took place from Friday to Sunday and with a total of 3340 entries with swimmers in each lane, Directors Chris Landeck and Michael Wilson kept the meet right on schedule and running smoothly.
 
Sunday’s Finals started at 6:00 for the remaining seven events of the weekend. After the swimming concluded the teams and the swimmers waited to hear the winners of the Team Points and the High Point winners.
