Baytown Sterling High School played host to the 2007 Dirty Bay Invite where boys and girls from the Houston area battle it out to make it to the championship round this upcoming Saturday.
Day 1 was all girls, with teams including Lamar, Jersey Village, Clear Creek, Cypress Creek, Sterling, St. Agnes, and Atascocita.
Jersey Village vs. Sterling Underclassman (last minute fill in)
With Westside being a no show, Sterling underclassman had to fill in versus Jersey Village and, amazingly, they did as well as any out there. The game started off with four straight goals by Sterling before Jersey Village answered with their first and only goal of the game. But Sterling didn’t stop there; they went on a 7-0 run to beat Jersey Village

Kaci New lead Sterling with 3 goals, while Shelby Young scored the lone goal for Jersey Village.
Clear Creek vs. Lamar
Clear Creek and Lamar were evenly matched for most of the contest, with the final scores of the first three quarters being 2-0, 4-3, and 6-5 (respectively). But Clear Creek showed that they had too much firepower for Lamar as they defeated them with a final score of
8-5.
Clear Creek’s Becca Moore finished the game with a team-leading three goals. Claire Moses and Brooke Bamford were right behind her with two goals each.
St. Agnes vs. Cy Creek
While it poured down rain outside, Cy Creek’s Abby Edwards poured down points against St. Agnes inside. She finished the game with an incredible five goals. Goalie Asundra Harris also helped out in Cy Creek’s 10-2 win by making unbelievable stops the whole game.
Edwards had five goals while teammate Hannah Pore had the second-highest with two. Kate McCarthy of St. Agnes scored both of the team's two goals.
Sterling vs. Clear Creek
Sterling (official team) came out scoring as soon as the game started with three goals in less than two minutes of play. Clear Creek had no chance of coming back because every time they scored, Sterling came back with two more, finishing the game with a final score of 13-5
Amy Olsen and Kenna Terry of Sterling both had a game-high of three goals.
Cy Creek vs. Jersey Village
Cy Creek also scored quickly with three goals in less than two minutes. They finished the quarter leading 6-0 and didn’t look back from there. Abby Edwards had another huge game with a game high four goals helping Cy Creek go on to win with a final score of 14-4.
Edwards led the way with a four-goal game.
