Thursday night had some preseason football action at the Kinkaid School as the Falcons played host to Northland Christian in scrimmage game. As the two prepare for the upcoming season, they rotated offensive and defensive series’ and worked in some parts of the kicking game.

Northland Christian opened things up. Quarterback Shane Knight wasted no time leading his team to the first score. Running back Stuart Trahan handled the ground game and receiver David Copeland had a few key catches.

Knight scored on a quarterback sweep to cap off the drive.

After fumbling on the first play from scrimmage, Kinkaid managed to put up some yards against a hard-hitting Cougar defense. Falcon quarterback Zach Stoler worked the option while running back Pierce Cohen was the workhorse.

Later in the scrimmage, Kinkaid found the end zone when Stoler found Michael Atmar on a deep out route for a substantial gain. Cohen finished off with a two-yard touchdown run.
