The water polo season may be coming to an end, but it’s definitely not over yet. The Region IV championships are being played this weekend, as ten schools will compete to see who will advance to the state tournament next weekend in Austin.

The girls of Atascosita, Baytown Sterling, Cy Creek, Cy Fair, Jersey Village, Langham Creek, St. Agnes, and The Woodlands began bracket play Thursday morning.

Cy Creek defeated The Woodlands, 16-2.
Atascosita defeated Jersey Village, 10-4.
Langham Creek defeated St. Agnes, 12-10
Sterling defeated Cy Fair, 22-1. 
St. Agnes defeated Cy Fair, 6-5.
The Woodlands defeated Jersey Village, 10-3.
Sterling defeated Langham Creek, 22-1.
Cy Creek defeated Atascosita, 4-1.

The championship games will be played on Saturday. Cy Creek will face Sterling for 1st and 2nd place. Saturday morning’s games will determine who will play for 3rd and 4th. The Top 4 teams in Region IV will advance to next week’s state tournament at Texas A&M University.

The boys of Baytown Sterling, Cy Creek, Cy Fair, Jersey Village, Langham Creek, Strake Jesuit, Tomball, and The Woodlands will begin bracket play Friday morning.
