The Westbury Christian Wildcats hosted the Eagles from Second Baptist Thursday night. The Eagles won 25-11, 25-5, 25-7 to improve to 18-7 overall and 7-0 in TAPPS 5A.
Westbury Christian used each game to improve and figure out the Eagles offense but fell short for overall.
Second Baptist consistently capitalized on the Wildcats errors and pulled away. The Eagles' serving was a big contributor to the win with more than 10 straight points scored from Jacy Burrell and Amber Calhoun from behind the service line.
The Wildcats had no answer for the Eagles' strong net play and cohesive teamwork. Westbury Christian will now refocus and face Awty International School on Tuesday.
Second Baptist will ride this win's momentum into their next game, Friday at home against St. Agnes.
The Eagles’ Stephanie Biediger had a game-high 10 kills. Wildcat Waltia Rolle had 7 kills.
