Griner's dunks make national headlines |

Brittney Griner must have had one eye on the future.
After Nimitz' 6-foot-8 center dunked twice in Monday night's 60-26 win against Westside in a 5A bi-district game at Delmar Fieldhouse, the Baylor commit said of her first dunk: "I guess everyone will be talking about this one."
They will be, and not just in Houston.
Video of Griner's dunks was featured on the front page of Yahoo! Tuesday afternoon, several hours after her efforts put her at No. 3 in SportsCenter's top 10 plays of Monday.
The footage was provided by KTRK-TV (Channel 13), which was filming the game in addition to several other media outlets, including The Athlete's Connection.

After reading all this material on the coaching at Westside, I thought it was only disgruntled parents talking however after seeing the game for myself I understand the complaints. Being humiliated on a national scale may be some payback for running upthe scores on subpar teams. Griner was just awesome, just simply awesome and seeing her dunk effortlessly was astounding. That's a hole in one in my book.
