The St. Thomas boys soccer team and St. Agnes and Duchesne Academy girls teams combined to place seven players on the TAPPS Division I and II First Teams released Tuesday.

St. Thomas’ Colin Smith and Nick Pierce made First Team in Division I.

Duchesne’s Karen Haney and Analissa Moreno were named First Team in Division I, as were St. Agnes’ Elizabeth DeLozier, Olivia Collado and Kira Ruck.

In Division II, Fort Bend Baptist’s Colin McCullogh earned First Team, as did Awty International’s Colleen Hogan and Houston Christian’s Sonia Sanchez.

Smith, Pierce and McCullogh also were among many area players named Academic All-State.

Area Second Team honorees were as follows: Boys Division I – David Restrepo and James Lessen from St. Thomas, and Nick Gonzales, Amir Nail and Tom Rancich from St. Pius; Girls Division I – Shannon Klenke and Allie Burks of Duchesne, and Allison Akers and Tina Taylor of St. Agnes; Boys Division II – Moses Adineran of Houston Christian and Alec Kemnitz of Lutheran North; and Girls Division II – Rebecca Twining, Amy Palmerton, Christiana Blades and Sarah Hamilton of Second Baptist, and Melissa Hamilton of Fort Bend Baptist.
