Carleigh Kutac, a two-time Scholastic All-American and co-captain of the Memorial High School swim team, recently signed a letter of intent to swim at the University of North Texas.

Kutac was a five-time district champion and four-time regional finalist for the Mustangs and earned her third all-state selection this year. She was a member of three school-record relay teams with Catherine Wagner, Emily Shoemaker and Zoe Bond, who also compete with Kutac on the Dad's Club Swim Team, coached by Mark Boerner.

Kutac, a Dad's Club swimmer for more than a decade, has held nine different age-group team records for the organization.

Kutac has been awarded nine varsity letters at Memorial. In addition to swimming, Kutac is a member of the varsity track and field, where she and teammates hold the school's 4-by-800 relay record, and is the defending district champion in the 800.

Kutac was a standout varsity cross country team and played water polo this year in the sport's inaugural season at the school.

A member of the National Honor Society, Kutac has been admitted to UNT's Honor College and plans to major in Biochemistry.

Kutac was one of four swimmers to sign with the Mean Green during the early signing period.
