Erica Alexander has done it again.

Image The senior from Clear Brook capped off an amazing high school track career with three gold medals from the 5A state track meet this past weekend at the University of Texas at Austin. She also won three gold medals at the state meet in 2007.

Her efforts and accomplishment helped make her an easy choice for this week’s Athlete’s Connection’s College Ball or Bust.com Athlete of the Week.

Image Alexander won the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash for the second year in a row on Saturday, with a time of 11.40 seconds in the 100 and 23.53 in the 200.

But for only the eight time in her career, she participated in the long jump, and won in with a leap of 19-feet-6.5.

Alexander, who will be going to USC in the fall, won the 100 as a sophomore in 2006 and won the 200 and 400 last year.
