Three Cinco Ranch boys soccer players and three Cougars girls were selected to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches all-Region III teams, and two area coaches received top honors on the teams released this week.

Cougars boys Josh Reicks (defender), Juan Fernando Nino and Preston Davis (midfielders) earned all-state and all-region honors after guiding the team to its first state tournament appearance.

Cougars girls honored were junior defender Jaimie Leake, senior midfielder Kaitlyn Eidson and senior forward Riley Canfield.

Katy girls coach Dianne Loftin and Strake Jesuit boys coach Bill McDonald earned Coach of the Year honors. Both coaches took their teams to the regional semifinals; Strake Jesuit was undefeated until a semifinal loss to Kingwood.

Three Katy Taylor girls players were named all-region – senior defender Lindsay Gordon, senior midfielder Katie Wesneski and senior goalie Natalie Strabala.

Several area teams had two players honored.
