More than 100 lacrosse players from across Greater Houston gathered Monday for the first day of the four-day Strake Jesuit lacrosse camp.

Crusaders coach Mike Block and a large staff, some of them from other schools, instructed players in grades 3-12 from schools such as Bellaire, Katy, St. Thomas and Kingwood in addition to Strake Jesuit.

Activities included skills drills such as shot velocity, shot accuracy, faceoffs and one-on-one drills.

The camp continues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Thursday.
