Three seeded players in the boys and girls 18 singles were upset in the semifinals of the Houston Tennis Association Junior Championship Major Zone tournament Saturday at Lee LeClear Tennis Center.

Rose Cabato of Richmond, the No. 4 seed, ambushed top-seeded Katelyn Schuur, Spring, 6-2, 6-4, and Julia Hatridge, Houston, routed No. 2 Maegan Goodney, The Woodlands, 6-2, 6-1.

In the boys 18 red semifinals Cameron Coffman, Corpus Christi, blitzed No. 3 Ben Lynch, Houston, 6-0, 6-0.

Finals begin at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Lee LeClear Tennis Center.
