It may be the end of their high school careers, but the beginning of a new start for four area basketball players.

Four Houston-area players will make up the South All-Star team against the North All-Stars  in the Texas High School Coaches Association’s All-Star Basketball game Monday night at Bill Greehey Arena on the St. Mary's University campus in San Antonio.

The game will be broadcast live at 7:30 p.m. on FSN Southwest (DirecTV Channel 676) in areas outside Houston. FSN Houston and Southwest will replay the game at noon Tuesday.

Those players include Katy Taylor forward Corbin Ray, Friendswood forward James Blasczyk, Bush forward Terry Bembry and Dulles guard Abel Galliguez.

Ray, a 6-foot-8, 220-pounder who can not only play strong and rebound, but has a sweet shot from the field. He will play at Texas Tech this coming season.

Blasczky, at 6-foot-11 and 200 pounds, is heading to Texas A&M after verbally committing to TCU back in November. He changed his commitment in June mainly because TCU fired head coach Neil Dougherty back in April.

Bembry is a lanky 6-foot-7 forward that can post and shoot a good mid-range jumper. He averaged 15 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks a game while helping the Broncos to an overall record of 25-9 in District 23-5A. He signed a scholarship to play at Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne last month.

Galliguez, a 5-foot-7, 175-pound guard that can knock down 3-pointers and play stifling defense, was part of the Dulles team that went all the way to the state championship game before losing to North Crowley. Galliguez signed a letter of intent to play college ball at John Brown University.
