Westside High School hosted the Westside Quad wrestling match that featured select teams from the Greater Houston area. Cinco Ranch, Cypress Ridge, Strake Jesuit, Fort Bend Baptist, and the Lone Star Wrestling Club were all in attendance for competition. Many of the team’s rosters had a number of vacancies because several athletes were still on vacation due to the holiday season. However, the show still went on. The Cougars’ team was present with nearly all of their wrestlers. But Strake Jesuit, Fort Bend Baptist, and Lone Star had to join forces in order to make a full roster. Even so, there were still many forfeits. Cinco Ranch won all of its head-to head matches by defeating Cy-Ridge (72-11), Westside (75-3) and Strake Jesuit/Fort Bend Baptist/Lone Star (72-12). Westside left the mats with a record 1-1-1 on the day. The Wolves defeated Cy-Ridge (36-27), tied with Strake Jesuit/Fort Bend Baptist/Lone Star (36-36), and was defeated by Cinco Ranch. Strake Jesuit/Fort Bend Baptist/Lone Star combo team celebrated one win over Cy-Ridge (55-18).
