Tuesday night the Mustangs came to play basketball. Aldine and Memorial remained neck-and-neck throughout the first quarter. As the second quarter came, Aldine played aggressively in order to gain a secure 27-19 lead for the half.
Aldine point guard Darrell Thomas guided his team through an exciting victory over Memorial.
“ I contributed my tight defense, and really tried to keep my team involved,” said Thomas.
Memorial point guard Jackson Kajander put up a tough fight leading his team with 16 points and a number of steals.
“This loss will only make us more hungry to win our next game,” Jackson commented.
Aldine's top scorers were Brandon Williams with 16 points. Gary Johnson and Matthew Johnson had 13 points. The game ended with a final score of 56-46 with Aldine taking the victory.
