Spring Woods and MacArthur played a terrific game Friday night. The score was close throughout each quarter. The defining moments in the game came when the technical fouls called led to multiple free throws between both teams. Spring Woods capitalized on the opportunity and secured the win.

" The technicals called were both good and bad, but I liked when they were in our favor," explained Spring Woods point guard Josh Whitfield.

In a game that was intense with frequent turnovers and aggressive play, the score belied the action on the court. With 1 minute 13 seconds remaining Wesley Armstrong of MacArthur made the shot that put MacArthur ahead 45-44.

" I'm happy with the way I played," said MacAurther's Wesley Armstrong. However, great play and ball handling were not quite enough to take home a General victory tonight.

Ultimately, Spring Woods came right back with the final 4 points to take the lead and the game.

" I knew we had won the game when I sunk my final 2 free throws," said Whitfield.

Whitfield made the final free throws to put the Spring Woods Tigers ahead with only 28 seconds remaining.

The final score was 48-45 Tigers.

Lead scorers for Spring Woods were Cornelius Williams with 19 points, Josh Whitfield with 11, and Anthony Howard with 8, .

The Generals top scorers were Wesley Armstrong, Cedric Winto, and Darrnell Jenkins with 7 points each.
