The Cy-Fair Bobcats hosted the Cy-Falls Eagles in a cross-town rivalry match Friday night. The nationally ranked Bobcats fended off the Eagles as they took a 47-33 victory in front of their home crowd.
The Eagles played tough defense but could not find any momentum in the first half. The Bobcats however, established their offense and took a 26-14 lead at halftime.
Both teams struggled offensively in the third quarter until late in the period when the Eagles started t make a push. Cy-Falls cut the deficit in half heading into the final period, but the Bobcats proved too much for the Eagles to handle in the fourth quarter..
Cy-Fair’s Nneka Ogwmike was the game’s high scorer with an impressive 27 points as Tiffany Leal led the way for the Eagles with 8 points.
The Bobcats remain undefeated on the season with an astounding 27-0 record as the Eagles fell to 18-6. Cy-Falls faces off against Langham Creek next Tuesday as Cy-Fair takes on Cy-Springs on Tuesday as well.
