The Houston Area Wrestling Duals took place Saturday morning at Klein Oak High School. This contest determined which teams would compete next week at the State Duals in Katy, Texas.
Cy Fair, Cy Ridge, Cinco Ranch, Westside, Klein Oak, Klein Collins, Klein, Katy Taylor, and Clear Creek’s teams were all present to earn a spot in next week’s competition.
After three fierce rounds of action, Cy Fair, Klein, Klein Oak, Cinco Ranch, Katy Taylor, Westside all secured positions for the State Duals.

Cy Fair and Cinco Ranch both advanced to the championship bracket, but the coaches decided not to have their athletes participate in another set of matches in this competition.
The State Duals will be held at the Merrell Center in Katy next Friday and Saturday.
