The Spring Woods Tigers defeated the Eisenhower Eagles Friday evening.
The game remained close in the first half. The Eagles were in a full court press in the second quarter in an attempt to gain possession of the ball. By half time, the Tigers had a 31-22 lead.
During the second half, the Eisenhower students and fans added a competitive element to the game as they began to stomp and cheer for the Eagles.
With the heightened tension, Spring Woods’ Jose Reyes came through with several crucial lay-ups in the second half. In addition Michael Louis sank numerous free throw shots which aided the Tigers in securing their lead.
Spring Woods took home the victory with a final score of 72-60.
Jason Guiton led Eisenhower in scoring with 11 points.
Spring Woods leading scorers were Cornelius Williams with 23 points and Michael Louis with 20.
