The Second Baptist Eagles hosted the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders this Thursday night.  The game began with low scoring from both teams.  The Crusaders came out with speed and determination with brought them to a 26-17 lead at the end of the first half.

Clearly frustrated with the offense and aggressive defense that the Crusaders brought to the game, the Eagles came back strong in the third quarter.  Working together as a team, the Eagles began to slowly decrease Concordia’s lead in the game.

After being down by only six points late in the fourth, the Eagles slowly lost their grip in their comeback.  The Crusaders took the game with a final score of 54-46.

Notable Second Baptist guard Mallory Dixon led the Eagles with scoring 5 three-pointers.  In addition, Kendall Shanklin contributed 12 points.

Leading scorers for Concordia included Faith Beringer with 17 points and Lindsey Muzar with 9.
