Tully Stadium hosted the Memorial  vs. Stratford  boys soccer game on the chilly Friday evening Jan. 26. Memorial was considered the underdogs for this particular event and Stratford quickly took advantage. The Spartans started off the game with a joint team effort, keeping the ball in their possession, and came out with the first couple of points.  Memorial wasn't going to give up that easily. They answered back with two goals of their own.

Picking up intensity in the second half, Memorial captain Evan Harche changed the tempo of the game with his leadership. Regrettably, Harche was unable to finish the half due to leg cramps.  The Mustangs began to display better ball control and teamwork.

Stratford adjusted quickly to Memorial's efforts and prepared a counter attack enabling the Spartans to take the game with a 2 point lead. The final score was 4-2 Stratford.

Notable players of the game for Stratford were Chris Powell with 2 points, Santi Nacinovich and Daniel Defreitas with 1. For Memorial, Keith Tura with 2.
