The Orange Panthers hosted Santa Ana Valley in a water polo match Tuesday afternoon. With a forceful offensive, Valley dominated throughout the game and quickly gained a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Panthers were able to step up their defense and hold Valley to scoring only one goal. Offensively, the Panthers ended their scoring drought and left the first half down by two.
Continuing to lead, Valley shut out the Panthers from scoring in the third quarter. One aspect of the game that Valley utilized was their offensive rebounding which multiplied their opportunities to get a goal.
The final score left Valley with a 9-3 victory. Leading scorers for Orange were Elise VonWalzogh, Arielle Noss, and Hannah Gardener with one goal each. For Santa Ana Valley, Lucy Hidago and Diana Lopez each contributed three goals.
Orange will be facing Ocean View on Wednesday while Santa Ana Valley battles El Modena.
