Tuesday night at the Merrell Center in Katy the Westside lady Wolves faced off against the Spring Woods Tigers.

From the tip off the Wolves went to work by applying full court press and hitting the boards. The press proved to be affective due to the amount of steals the Wolves were getting and turnovers they were creating. At the end of the first quarter the score was 31-9 with Westside's Sydney Colson contributing 21 of those points.

During the second quarter the Tigers started to hit some shots and gain some stride but Jessica Young and Brittany Joseph of Westside picked up their game as well and closed the half with a score of 55-19.

Although the lady Wolves were a head by a substantial amount they continued to use full court press and for the Tigers this was like hitting a brick wall. Even though Spring Woods was behind they did not give up as Kristen Johnson and Arielle Daron helped the team by continuing to score and play hard. This did not slow down the Wolves because within five minutes of the end of the game Westside broke 100 points.

The Wolves continued to the play out the game with the same intensity they started with and with a final score of 111-62 they will continue on their season.
