The Campbell Center saw its second game in the double header Regional Quarterfinals Wednesday night when the Cy-Fair Bobcats took on the Eisenhower Eagles. Cy-Fair started the game off quickly scoring an immediate four points against the Eagles. Cy-Fair then began full court press and hitting the boards getting two or three follow-ups on their shots. This proved to be a set back for Eisenhower because at the end of the first quarter the score was 16-4, Cy-Fair.
The second quarter brought Eisenhower some better luck, they began to hit more of their shots and play aggressively. Although the Eagles began to get some points on the board the Bobcats shadowed each one of their shots closing the fist half with Cy-Fairs leading 26-13.
In the third quarter Cy-Fair started to pull away, to slow them down Eisenhower implemented a full court press. The Bobcats seemed to be unaffected by the press being able to break through and continue to dominate the game with a final score of 48-30.
Nneka Ogwumike ended the game with 18 points and Megan Majewski followed her with 11 points for Cy-Fair. The Eagles Angelica Markray had 9 points and Cobilyn Hill added another 6 points for her team.
The Cy-Fair Bobcats have extended their undefeated season to 36-0 and will continue onto Regional Semifinals on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Campbell Center against Dulles who defeated Humble with a score of 55-36.
