Day one at the UIL Texas High School State Wrestling Tournament started with a bang. Teams from all four regions came out to Austin battle in quest for the right to be called ‘champion.’
After Round 1, some wrestlers were the favorites to move on to the championship brackets. But there were some upsets. A few matches, in Round 2, were rematches from Regionals two weeks before.
Either way, all of these top wrestlers were here and they are competing like they had nothing to lose. Below you will find the results from Friday’s action.
