Saturday at the Campbell Center the Aldine Mustangs took on the Cy-Creek Cougars

Cy-Creek controlled the first quarter, hitting their shots and playing tough defense. The Cougars led 16-12 over the Mustangs at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter each team was evenly matched with the lead exchanging almost every play. However, with frequent fouls the Mustangs went into the locker rooms at the half with a lead of 29-23.

At the start of the second half, Aldine hit the floor playing for the win. Their shots were connecting and their defense was overwhelming the Cougars. The Cougars had key players get into foul trouble and Aldine seized this opportunity to control the rest of the game. Aldine came out with the win with a final score of 62-44.

Aldine’s Gary Johnson had 29 points followed by Brandon Williams who had 11 points. Brad Howard had 11 points for Cy-Fair and Deon Davis added 10 points to the board for the Cougars.
