Tommy Mason-Griffin of Madison High School has earned our star player of the week scoring an amazing 46 points to lift his team past the Katy Taylor Mustangs. The Marlins outscored the Mustangs 85-77 at Strake Jesuit Saturday night. Griffin is averaging over 21 points and seven assists per game.

Griffin, only a sophomore, has already committed to play ball at LSU.

The Marlins will advance to the region three quarter finals where will they will face the formidable Aldine Mustangs. The game will be held at the Campbell Center Tuesday 6 p.m. The winner of this game will go on to face the winner of the North Shore vs. Kingwood game.
