The St. Thomas Eagles and the Katy Club rugby teams faced off at St. Thomas High School Friday night.
St. Thomas was dominating in the first half and took a 12-0 lead with plenty of time remaining before the half. The Katy defense stepped up its pace and kept the Eagles out of the end zone for the remainder of the period. However, the Eagles would put through one last field goal to take a 15-0 lead heading into halftime.
It was all Eagles in the second half as they scored within the first five minutes of the second half giving St. Thomas a 22-0 lead.
St. Thomas kept up its dominance scoring three more times before the end of the game. The Eagles secured an impressive 50-0 victory over Katy.
