The Athlete’s Connection is proud to present Cy Fair’s Sam McGuffie with our Spotlight Athlete of the week award. McGuffie had a very productive weekend.

Saturday at the Alief/Heintschel Track Meet at Crump Stadium, McGuffie earned three gold medals. He won the long jump (22-0 feet), the high jump (6-4), and the 110-hurdles (14.67 seconds).

McGuffie, a 2008 graduate, has also earned many accolades for his accomplishments this past season in football. After rushing for more than 3,000 yards, McGuffie has gained the attention of several Division I universities and has more than eight offers so far.
