Thirty-six girls and boys track programs were present at the Houston Christian Relays Saturday, and the meet featured several of Greater Houston’s class 5A, 4A, and private school teams.

The track meet was broken into two divisions, 5A and 4A. In the girls 5A division, Yates was the team point winner with 146. Stratford (128.5) and St. John’s (111) were second and third, respectively.

Memorial won in the 5A boys division with 147.5 points. Bellaire came in second (95.5) while St. Thomas (94) was a close third.

In the 4A category the competition was just as hot with Bay Area Christian winning in both the girls and boys division. Clear Lake Christian’s girls were second, and the boys were third.

Cypress Christian picked up third in the girls division, and Beaumont Cathedral was No. 2 for the boys.

Runners Shane Briscoe from Cypress Christian and Danny Davis of Beaumont Christian were the meet’s high-point winners. The gold medallists were as follows:
