Memorial played an excellent game against the Woodlands Thursday afternoon. The Mustangs started off slowly, perhaps due to their previous loss against St. Johns. After a pep-talk from coach Scott Elmore, however, the Memorial players' spirits seemed brightened, as they began to play at their potential.
The first half ended with the Mustangs up 8-3. The Lady Highlanders played their hearts out, but it wasn't enough to stop Memorial's scoring streak. The 'Stangs managed to gain a substantial lead, resulting in a running clock midway through the second half. Memorial doubled their point total to win the game 16-4. Goalie Ali Rogers had a fantastic game with a total of 9 saves for the Mustangs.
