Tight game for the Lady Tigers
Wednesday April 04, 2007
Written by Lisa Sinclair

The Spring Woods girls took on Nimitz at home in a game that was low scoring and went seven innings in favor of the Lady Cougars. 1-0.

In a pitchers war between Cougar Jessica Davis and Spring Woods Tiger Rachel Heidemann, both teams played strong defense. However, it was Nimitz who put the run on the board and went home victorious.

Spring Woods was hoping for a win tonight to tighten the District19-5A standings. Prior to this game, Nimitz 6-3 standing put them in the top three while Stratford held the fourth place slot.

Both pitchers remained consistent throughout the game with support from their teammates. It was, however, the Spring Woods girls who never stopped cheering their team on in hopes of a victory.

Both teams will continue district play later this week.
