Brazoswood Game: (4/21/07) Stratford lost 3-4 (21-7 Season)

Brazoswood beat the Spartans by a score of 3-4. Zach Boulanger started for Stratford and pitched well yielding 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5 1/3 innings. Kevin Hahn and AJ Daggett both pitched well in relief without allowing an earned run.

Travis Smith, Barret Loux and James Vaughn each collected 2 hits and Barret picked up an RBI. Jake Miller continued his hot bat with an RBI double. Matt Evers also had an RBI.

Will Gould picked up an outfield assist but the Spartan defense was not in top form as 6 errors allowed 3 unearned runs.

Northbrook Game: (4/20/07) Stratford won 22-0 (10-2 District)

Stratford beat the Raiders by a score of 22-0. Matt Evers was dominant, pitching a 5 inning no-hitter with 14 Ks. Two walks and a fielder’s choice were the only other results from 17 Northbrook batters.

Stratford scored 22 runs on 15 hits. The hitters were led by Jake Miller with a homerun, a double and 5 RBIs. Also adding to the offense were Carson Brown (2 hits and 4 RBIs), AJ Daggett and Will Gould (2 hits and 1 RBI each), John Sorsby (1 hit and 2 RBIs), Ethan Jordan and James Vaughn (1 hit and 1 RBI), John Mardirosian (2 hits), Travis Smith and Barret Loux (1 hit each) and Cody Schwartz (1 RBI).
